Plant the beautiful henna flower in any moist, well-drained soil in a shady or semi-shaded location. It is better to plant them in late spring after the soil warms up to at least 15 degrees Celsius. If planted in soil that is too cold, these plants die throughout the growing season. After planting, separating the stems back will make the plant grow more. The beautiful henna flower will grow wonderfully in almost any pot with good drainage.

As a general rule, you can consider one plant for every 7 to 10 cm diameter of the pot. Henna flowers, especially the New Guinea variety, also work well as a filler in a container of mixed plants that prefer shade. You can expect to do more fertilizing and watering for plants grown in containers.

Grow standard henna flowers in soil with good drainage and enriched with organic matter. Paji fiberpit has been used as a suitable substrate for the rooting and growth of this plant and has received excellent results. They prefer slightly acidic soil with a pH range of about 6 to 6.5. The soil should be well drained so that it does not turn into a swamp from frequent watering.
